What could Jeff Buckley, Gabriel Fauré, Jacques Brel, John Coltrane and Baudelaire possibly have in common? Perhaps an ability to combine a fierce appetite for life with tenderness, elemental energy with a certain melancholy, or to channel great strength into a commitment to non-violence… These seemingly opposing energies are precisely what the Sweet Warriors evoke through works by these artists and compositions by Lionel Beuvens, seeking, through music, to find a form of peace through action.
