Kika Sprangers Quintet

Kika Sprangers — saxophone / Anna Serierse — vocals / Koen Schalkwijk — piano / William Barrett — bass / Wouter Kühne — drums

One of the leading figures on the Dutch jazz scene, saxophonist and composer Kika Sprangers captivates with a musical world that is both intimate and powerful. With her new project river, river, she explores the river as a metaphor for the human journey, between stillness, movement and transformation. Joined by Anna Serierse and a group of close musical collaborators, she creates sensitive and immersive music where deep melodies, improvisation and emotion intertwine. An enveloping sonic experience driven by a remarkable sense of collective interplay.
